REGENERATION 

“Regeneration” presented by The Treasury, and curated by Nektarios Antoniou, is the first comprehensive exhibition of New York based fashion photography duo Andreas & Nico. Through their appreciation and genuine engagement with a wealth of authentic materials, equally interested in entertaining traditional paradoxes and relating contemporary stylistic tendencies, the photographers succeed in regenerating an interest in traditional Greek regional vestiture through a post-modern visual aesthetic, informed by the ever unfolding world of fashion, past and present. Often deconstructing the elaborate layers to gradually reveal the eloquent intricacies of each single piece, their audience familiarizes with the past while at the same time is stylistically informed and assisted in con-temporizing traditional dress, along with its present-day uses to express personal identity. Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak!
